About Karen Jensen

Karen Jensen is the President and CEO of Farnsworth Group, Inc., a national engineering, architecture and survey firm. She received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska and her Master of Business Administration from Illinois State University. Karen Jensen has over 25 years of experience with a number of different companies mixing both consulting operations and business matters. Previously, Karen Jensen served as President of Environmental Science and Engineering of CILCORP, and Industry President and General Manager at AFFINA Corporation.

Karen Jensen began working at Farnsworth Group in 2002. She worked closely to the Farnsworth brothers and brought a fresh perspective to various parts of the business. From 2003 to 2006 Karen worked for the company remotely while living abroad in England. In 2004 she began serving as a Co CEO with George Farnsworth and was later given the full distinction in 2006 when she returned back to Illinois. The company has been very successful posting significant and profitable growth and is looking ahead to a great future.

Farnsworth Group, Inc. origins date back to the 1890′s. Presently, the organizations has over 300 employees located in offices nationwide in 17 cities and 8 states. Farnsworth Group has annual revenues of $42 million and offers a full range of services including civil, transportation, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and municipal engineering; architecture; commissioning and energy services; oil & gas pipeline consulting and land surveying.
